The remote and beautiful Arun valley is the eastern approach to the Everest Region. The route takes us through the verdant and temperate plains, across the hills and Valleys of the Gurungs and Limbus, and to the arid highlands of the Sherpas. We start near Dhankuta, cross the Mahabharat range and descend to the Arun Valley, the main trade route to the northern border. The Arun and Tamur Valleys are also noted for their rich variety of birds and flowers. Arriving Khumbu, we follow the same trail through Sherpa-land to Kala Pathar/Base Camp
